Who we are
Etic 8 is a design & build company based at 90 Konovaltsya St, Lviv, Ukraine. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy. If anything here raises a question, write to us at [email protected] - a real person reads that inbox.
This policy has been in effect since 23 July 2026.
What data we collect
There is exactly one place on this website where we collect personal data: the contact form. When you send it, we receive:
- your name
- your email address
- your phone number - only if you choose to share it
- the service you are interested in
- your message
Behind the scenes, the server that handles the form also sees your IP address and country. We use this solely to filter spam and limit abusive traffic; it is not stored anywhere separately from the email itself.
That is the full list. No accounts, no newsletters, no hidden profiling.
Why and on what basis
We use your details for one purpose: to reply to your enquiry and talk about a potential project. Nothing else - no marketing lists, no resale, no sharing with "partners".
Legally, we rely on your consent (the checkbox you tick before sending the form) and on our legitimate interest in carrying on the correspondence you started with us.
Where your data goes
The route is short. Your form submission travels through a Cloudflare Worker and Cloudflare Email Routing straight into our company mailbox, hosted on Google Gmail. It is never written to any database - your data lives only inside that email conversation.
Three companies help us run this setup: Cloudflare (our global CDN and proxy), Contabo (the server hosting the site) and Google (our email provider). They act as data processors on our behalf. Because Cloudflare and Google operate globally, your data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area; such transfers are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep the correspondence for as long as our conversation or potential cooperation continues. Once it no longer serves a purpose - or as soon as you ask us to delete it - it goes.
Analytics, cookies and local storage
To understand how the site is used and to plan our marketing, we use three analytics tools: Google Analytics 4 (Google), Meta Pixel (Meta) and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft). They collect information about pages viewed, approximate location (country and city), device and browser type, and how you interact with the pages. None of it shows us your name or exact address.
If you visit from the EU or the UK, none of these tools run until you allow them in the consent banner. Your choice is stored in your browser as a localStorage key named "e8consent", and you can change your mind at any time - clear the site data in your browser, or simply email us.
Data collected by these tools is processed by Google, Meta and Microsoft under their own privacy policies. We only ever look at it in aggregate.
Beyond that, the site stores a single sessionStorage flag named "e8v". Its sole job is to make sure the intro animation plays once per session instead of on every page view. It is purely functional, contains nothing personal, and disappears when you close the tab.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us at any time to:
- access the data we hold about you
- correct it
- delete it
- restrict how we use it
- object to our use of it
- hand it over in a portable format
You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
